In this workshop, we will explore how we, as activists working for social and ecological justice, can strengthen our resilience and what we can do to prevent or cope with burnout. This training is open to anyone who works or has worked in an NGO that is part of the climate or social justice movement. This training is organised on the request of Friends of the Earth Europe and several of their staff will be participating. ABOUT FEROS VZW*Feros is a Belgian collective that organises activities around emotional resilience, inclusiveness and feminist self-defence. Through our activities, we support individuals and groups / collectives / organisations working for social and ecological justice. In all our activities, we combine methods that engage participants at the level of heart (emotions), head (thinking and concepts) and hands (practical experience / embodiment). We are (have been) active in various movements and campaigns, including Peace Action, movement against deportation of undocumented migrants, setting up an anarchist info-action centre, Ineos Will Fall, Code Rouge, the squatters' movement, (queer) feminism, Friends of the Earth, Groenfront!, Extinction Rebellion, The Rubensfans, Associations where the poor speak out, ... Our trainer team is mixed in terms of gender (identity), sexuality, social class, level of education, physical disability, (mental) health, neurodiversity, level of English, income, family composition, work situation, family wealth, living situation. We are between 30 and 60 years old. We like experimenting with food fermentation, bike rides, hiking and dancing, among other things.
